Jim Sage has been teaching the piano for over twenty-five years. Jim has also held long standing positions such as Chair of Visual & Performing Arts at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in Pasadena, California and has an equally long experience in church music. His broad experience in education has firmly instilled in him a genuine desire to develop a path of study geared to each individual, whether child or adult.
Jim has also enjoyed a career as an accompanist, traveling to Mexico, The Netherlands and Boston for recitals. He earned the degree, Master of Music in Piano Performance, from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he studied with Seymour Fink, author of Mastering Piano Technique. In addition, he holds an undergraduate degree in Composition, also from SUNY, and has had his music commissioned and performed.
